Showdown Jr.
Our Current Schedule
Rip, slash, tear. That's the sound of the arts being cut from our elementary schools.
Author Cindy Marcus and Composer Dennis Poore decided to do something.
Showdown Jr. is an arts program aimed at K - 6th grade set. From acting to writing,
from dancing to sculpting young ones will be inspired to create all aspects of art. We
offer 3 reasonably priced programs:
P.L.A.Y. - Performance Learning Arts for Youth.
Art Enrichment - Classes in all aspects of the arts.
Jr. Camp - One week full time day camp.

| Jr. Camp One week - all day - lots of fun all culminating in a performance for family & friends. This is a Monday - Friday 9:30 - 5 with Pre and Post care available. Campers enjoy classes and activities in the morning and rehearse for an original show in the afternoon. Similar to our Showdown camps, this is geared toward the younger set. |
| P.L.A.Y. Is an on-site 8 week program. For 2 days a week after school students go from page to stage. They begin by helping to craft an original play. Then it's onto auditions, casting and rehearsals with lots of individualized attention. Every child's inner star is nurtured, culminating in an awesome performance for family and friends. From musicals to old time radio theater P.L.A.Y. has enjoyed great success all over the Santa Clarita Valley: FairOaks Elementary School. Leona Cox Elementary School. Art Enrichment
Inspired by an elementary school principal to meet the PLC needs of her parents and student body. This is a dynamic full semester
program that brings local community artists together with kids K- 6th to teach and inspire them in all aspects of the arts.
Sessions are broken up into 4 week blocks, with the 5th week showcasing the kid's work.
Each block covers a different aspect of the arts. In block one a child may take Theater Games or Improvisation. In block two they
could get Glee club or composing. Block three might be sculpture or Rock Camp. This is a diverse, comprehensive and totally fun
journey into the world of arts.
We will tailor the curriculum to meet the needs of your student body. Some classes we can offer are:
